Description
Kahuku has a ton of shrimp trucks, but you can’t get fresher shrimp than Fumi’s, who harvests them every morning from their own shrimp farm, right next door.
They started with a food truck parked on the side of the road (it still is) and later opened up a bright blue shrimp shack too.
You’ve got a handful of shrimp plates to choose from, but the Butter Garlic or Spicy Garlic ones are the way to go.

TIPS + TRICKS
-
The shrimp come in their shells, so you’ll have to peel them (and yes, this will get messy).
-
They also have a second window where you can order Dole Whip and shave ice.
-
You may have to wait a while, but it’s nothing compared to Giovanni’s or Romy’s. Plan to wait about 10-15 minutes to place your order and then another 10-15 minutes to get your food.
-
Their food truck is just a couple minutes up the road and tends to be a little less busy than the shrimp shack. It’s also got plastic tables and chairs.
FYI
-
Cash only.
-
Each plate comes with plenty of shrimp, 2 scoops of rice, pineapple, and a salad.
DID YOU KNOW?
-
All of their shrimp is sourced right from their adjacent shrimp farm.
-
There’s a rumor that there was a family rift and that’s why they have a food truck and also a shack, but on opposite ends of the family shrimp ponds.
