Description

Nico’s is the place for fresh seafood — hand-picked early every morning from the Honolulu Fish Auction next door.

The little fish market attached to the restaurant serves some of the best poke on the island. They also smoke their own fish in house if you’re in the mood to try Swordfish, Marlin, Salmon Belly and more. But if you’re not craving seafood, they’ve still got all the island favorites (like Chicken Katsu and Loco Moco).

They buy more fish than other restaurant on the island and pride themselves on still offering it at a reasonable price, just like when they first opened.

Nico’s was started by 2 local fisherman and a young French born chef. They’ve been serving fishermen and longshoremen since day 1,  starting off as a small plate lunch takeout counter. Now they’re in a bigger space, with a fine dining spot upstairs [temporarily CLOSED], a second location in Kailua, and a food truck that they launched during the pandemic.
