Great swimming and SUP beach with calm waters and a man made lagoon (Magic Island). Just west of Waikiki but way less crowded. Large grassy areas and lots of restrooms.

One of the most famous (and dangerous) surf destinations in the world. Home to the biggest surf competition in the world. Best place to watch skilled surfers.

Ka'au Crater Trail

Jaw dropping views. Hike through a jungle, up the side of a waterfall, and along a crater’s ridge. 3 waterfalls. A locals hike that’s not at all crowded. Takes about 5-6 hrs.

One of the most beautiful places in Hawaii but still under the radar. It’s like a beach in the middle of the ocean. Magical place to swim and snorkel with turtles.

Hike 1048 steps up a dormant volcano. The steps are old railroad ties from WW2. Breathtaking views of Hanauma Bay and the eastern coast from the bunker at the top.

Known for its pink pillbox overlooking the shoreline. Short but steep with incredible views. Popular, but less crowded than other hikes. Aka Pu’u O Hulu or Ma’ili Pillbox.

A secret find that most would walk right past. Hard to find if you don’t know where to look, but so obvious if you do. A one of a kind photo op if you time it right.

Rainforest hike that winds through tropical plants, bamboo and huge palms. Takes you to a 150-foot waterfall. Just 20 min from Waikiki. Good for hikers of all levels.
