Description
Every bit of this hotel is meant to be photographed — the signature hibiscus print accent wall behind the beds, rows of dashboard hula dancer dolls at the concierge desk, and hanging egg chairs. This hotel has a lot of personality. Nothing cookie cutter here.
The Laylow is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, delivering boutique style with the service of a luxury hotel. You can expect friendly staff, great food and drinks, and fun perks like ukulele lessons and a welcome basket full of flip flops and local snacks.
Start your morning with a Stumptown coffee or acai bowl from the retro style coffee shop. Spend the day poolside in cabanas or partially submerged lounge chairs, with complimentary shave ice all afternoon. Grab a cocktail and listen to live music in the evenings at their gorgeous rooftop restaurant and bar.
The Laylow’s central location and laid back vibe draws a pretty diverse crowd — couples and families, young and old.

FYI
-
It’s not beachfront, but it’s only a 5 minute walk.
-
Regular floor rooms (14 and below) don’t have coffee makers, but there is a coffee bar on the main level
-
Rooms have large walk in showers, but no tubs.
-
Views from the rooms are good, not great. If an incredible ocean or city view is important to you, this may not be the right place.
-
The pool is not deep. Only about 3 ft.
-
It’s a smoke-free property.
-
There’s only one restaurant and one pool. Great if you’re planning on getting out a lot, but not if you want a resort where you never have to leave.
-
It can get noisy, but they provide earplugs in every room. Not uncommon in the heart of Waikiki.

Crib or pack ‘n play available.
