Description

Kono’s Northshore is known for their kalua pork. The secret recipe takes 12 hours to cook. The Surfing Pig is like the big sister to Kono’s Northshore, taking their kalua pork and comfort food, like street tacos or loco moco, to the next level with a more elevated menu and a handcrafted cocktail list.

Pick and choose from shareable small plates, like truffle fries and sriracha fried rice, or entrees, like a bacon infused burger or fall-off-the-bone back ribs. Spice it up with their house made hot sauces.

Their cocktails are solid — perfect with brunch or happy hour. Their signature cocktail, Smoking Pig, is made with bacon infused bourbon and comes in a glass container filled with smoke, for dramatic effect.

TIPS + TRICKS

  • There’s plenty of cheap parking. There’s also free street parking along Waialae Avenue right out front if you can find a spot.

  • Leave your mark on the chalkboard across from the bar.

  • Choose from orange, guava, or pineapple juice for brunch mimosas. They’re $11, with $3 refills.

  • Daily happy hour is from 4pm - 10pm with some discounts on drinks and pupus.

  • The Surfing Pig and all the Kono’s Northshore restaurants are part of the Fivestars Loyalty Program. Basically you get bigger freebies the more times you visit. Check what deals they’re offering right now. Your points will accumulate across all their restaurants.
